Vision Development Organization

The Vision Development Organization(VDO) is an independent, non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization supporting all Afghan people with a particular focus on women, children, men and most vulnerable people in Afghanistan by addressing their health, educational, economic, and social needs.

Our foundation and leadership by Afghan women symbolize empowerment and ensure our programs are empathetic, inclusive, and tailored to Afghan society’s unique needs. VDO works closely with communities, and local stakeholders to ensure the sustainability and context sensitivity of its interventions. VDO is resilient in the face of current context.

Our History

VDO founded in 2015. With a vision for a more prosperous and equitable Afghanistan. VDO was established by a dedicated team of individuals committed to addressing the humanitarian and development challenges facing the country. Since its inception, VDO has been at the forefront of efforts to empower communities and improve livelihoods across Afghanistan with a focus on key sectors such as education, advocacy, economic resilience, and health.

Our mission is to deliver impactful humanitarian assistance and drive sustainable development by empowering vulnerable communities in Afghanistan. We work for all Afghanistan with a particular focus on women, children, to ensure everyone reach their full potential and contribute to the development of their communities. We achieve this by addressing the education, healthcare, social, and economic, needs of our target groups, while promoting resilience, equality, and human rights.

Our vision is a prosperous and inclusive Afghanistan where every community has the opportunity to thrive in dignity, peace, and sustainability.
