Afghanistan is facing a lot of challenges, approximately 85 percent of them live on less than one dollar a day and don’t have access to the basic needs to feed their kids and provide them a two-time-bread. The local economy is also damaged, have nothing to continue life, and the heads of families are frustrated to their kid’s future.

35-year-old Ahmad, the resident of Kuz Kunar District of Nangarhar. He is disabled and responsible of 10-member-made family.

Ahmad Said, “I am disabled, I am very sad in my life and not able to continue. This assistance is in a great time, I receive, I and my family urgently need it “.

VDO supported him in providing cash and food for six months, now he and his family feel happy and able to feed their kids.

We experienced that time too in which we had nothing at home to eat, I was disabled and my kids were small, so we were just passing the time with drinking water, when I enrolled my self for the food and cash assistance, after that we had full food at home and my kids were not thinking about hunger, said Ahmad.

This project is implemented by VDO with the financial support of WFP in Nangarhar, Afghanistan.
