In the Central Region, VDO’s interventions are centered around strengthening the private sector, promoting transparency and accountability, and enhancing their access to ‘ full value chain’ essential services such as education, impact assessment, economic resilience, engagement and dialogue, and health.
In the Northern Region, VDO works to empower marginalized populations, including women, children, and persons with disabilities, through targeted interventions that promote education, economic empowerment, and social inclusion. By engaging with local communities and leaders, we build networks of support and opportunity that enable individuals to thrive and contribute to the region’s development.
In the Eastern Region, VDO focuses on addressing the complex challenges posed by conflict, displacement, and insecurity, border returnees, emergency response. Our programs aim to provide lifesaving assistance, promote economic resilience, and support the affected and displaced populations into their communities. By fostering resilience and social cohesion, we work to create a more stable and prosperous future for the region.
In the Western Region, VDO’s interventions target underserved populations in remote and marginalized areas, where access to basic services is limited. Through innovative approaches to education, healthcare, and economic development, Food Security and Livelihoods, we strive to bridge gaps in opportunity and empower individuals to build better futures for themselves and their families. By investing in the Western Region’s potential, we contribute to the overall development and prosperity of Afghanistan as a whole.
